Vehicle Description 1993 Ford F150 SVT Lightning The first year Ford's SVT team came to life and debuted the SVT Lightning and Cobra to the world at the Chicago auto show in 1993.
Fords Special Vehicle Team created the F150 Lightning to compete with the Chevy 454 ss pickup truck.
It didn't just compete with chevy's truck it dominated the sport truck market in every category.
This particular truck has recently received a full restoration that cost over $10,000 including fresh paint, new oem headlights and tail lights, new weather stripping, tires, spray in bed liner and the frame was sprayed as well.
New oem headers and full exhaust out to the dual tail pipes.
The truck has a brand new rear bumper/roll pan and does come with the factory tube bumper.
Along with the original exhaust manifolds.
Even the original spare tire is still with the truck.
This truck is quite possibly one of the nicest, cleanest Lightnings in the country.
Its almost impossible to find a flaw on this truck.
I dare you to even find a single rock chip.
Absolutely no disappointments.
Everything works on the truck from the AC, the guages, lights, dual gas tank switch and guages, radio etc.
The truck drives straight as an arrow, shifts flawlessly and brakes likes a champ.
The 351w sounds amazing and and performs like the day it was bought.
It has the perfect exhaust note thru the stainless steel dual pipes.
In 1993 there was only 2 colors.
Red or black.
A total of 5,276 trucks were produced.
This is 1 of 2,585 made in red.
These trucks are only going up in value as they become more rare and harder to find.
I recently bought this truck from a 70 year old man in southern Indiana who bought it off a 77 year old man, needless to say this truck has not been driven very much since its been restored.
I bought it solely as an investment and do not drive it.
I figure it should be enjoyed and driven by someone who loves to show it off.
