WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR


Compassionate, quality health care doesn't happen by accident. It happens as the result of careful monitoring of performance, efficiency and quality measures. Our Clinical Quality Specialist handles data abstraction from medical records to develop and implement performance improvement measures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Abstracts, records, and submits data from the medical record for CMS Quality Initiative programs

  • Provides education to physicians, frontline staff, and other personnel as appropriate regarding clinical quality metrics/initiatives.

  • Performs medical record review and records findings for medical staff peer review activities.

  • Communicates effectively via verbal, written and electronic methods; includes ability to compose professional business letters.

  • Maintains statistics/reports of quality work product and provides monthly reports; includes entering data into excel spreadsheets and vendor tools.



WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED



  • Registered Nurse required.¬  At least five years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.

  • Must have strong clinical skills as well as clinical interpretation and judgment abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills required.¬  Must be able to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines.¬  Must be self-motivated.

  • Must have ability to interpret complex directions and utilize specified data elements for consistently accurate abstraction.

  • Must work independently in performing duties with minimal supervision and be able to effectively prioritize work.

  • Must be able to use clinical judgment/critical thinking skills/nursing process in the interpretation of data elements and medical record documentation.

  • Must have composition skills sufficient to author and type formal business correspondence.

  • Ability to use MS Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Ability to search electronic health record for clinical information

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
