The Administrative support positions to be filled are: Administrative Assistant, General Office Clerk, Payroll Clerk, and Accounting Clerk. Some of the duties to be performed are: answering telephones, taking messages, word processing, payroll actions, database creation and maintenance, logistics, and customer relations. Candidates for these positions must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and some college coursework. Prior knowledge and experience of these skills is a plus. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
