Job Description:
The Lake County Sheriff's Violence Reduction Intelligence Analyst will focus on supporting The Department of Investigations for the Lake County Sheriff's Department utilizing modern technology and analyzing information.
Duties:
The Lake County Sheriff's Violence Reduction Intelligence Analyst responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Support all Lake County Sheriff's Department crime prevention and intelligence Lead enforcement and investigative projects and activities Collect and analyze information and intelligence that will support crime mapping, and intelligence alerts.
Provide analytic support to investigations and special operations that impact violence reduction Data collection, entry, and analysis Utilize modern technology to gather and analyze information Assist outside organizations when requested And, all duties assigned by the Lake County Sheriff and Commander of the Lake County Drug Task Force Skill, knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task Ability to accurately and concisely draft letters and report documents Ability to navigate various computer programs (Ex:
Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word) Ability to navigate various computer platforms (ex:
webpage platforms) Ability to accurately read, review, and search information sources to obtain information Ability to review databases, collect and analyze information for intelligence purposes.
Ability to verbally and concisely communicate via platforms and team Ability to work on a team and work independently Ability to follow direction Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner Ability to safeguard sensitive information Knowledge of basic computer skills Knowledge of time management skills Knowledge of analytical problem-solving skills Working knowledge of basic writing and typing skills Working knowledge of organizational skills Working knowledge of modern technology Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to sit in an office setting for 8 hours or more as needed Work Environment Secured office setting Shared office space Work Schedule Weekday 40 hours a week Weekend on call as needed Must be open to staying over on shift as needed Experience preferred Background in IT (preferred) Background in Cybersecurity (preferred) Additional Requirements Hold a valid Indiana state ID/Drivers License Successfully pass a background check At least 18 years of age No felony convictions Job Type:
