Utility and Transmission Distribution Engineer

Duties and
Responsibilities:
Design distribution and sub-transmission lines from 12- 69kV line engineering projects to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and codesSpecify pole, conductor, insulator, equipment, etccomponentsPerform pole loading analysis (software such as PoleForeman)Collect field data Calculations for fusing coordination, voltage drops, transformer loading, etc.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environmental and demonstrated critical thinking skillsProficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft SuiteFocus on collaboration with team members and strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organizationSome management/supervisory experience is preferred.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or engineering technology from an ABET accredited program (Electrical or Civil/Structural preferred)
Experience:
No experience in utility industry requiredAdditional
Qualifications:
Fundamentals of Engineering License preferredProfessional Engineer License preferredP-RDC-001 Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auto Cad Calculations Critical Thinking Engineering Nuclear Engineering Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
