Our receptionist are responsible for:
Providing customer service such as greet customers, answer questions, process incoming patients, and handle payments.
Answer phone calls, which may involve answering medical questions Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email.
Updating patient accounts.
Retrieve prescriptions.
Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room.
Our assistants are responsible for:
Providing customer service such as greet customers, answer questions, and handle payments.
Going over medical history Typing exam notes Assisting DVMs Restraining animals Drawing up vaccines/administering vaccines Blood draws The skills that a good candidate should possess to succeed at this position are:
Compassion and sensitivity:
Having the ability to be sensitive to an ill pet, as well as concerned owners Customer service skills:
Having the ability to provide friendly, efficient service to in-person clients, as well as on the phone.
Interpersonal skills:
Having the ability to feel comfortable dealing with clients and other staff members Technology skills:
Having the ability to operate office technology Mental and physical stamina:
Having the ability to stay calm in stressful situations Organizational skills:
Having the ability to manage office operations and basic receptionist responsibilities.
