Job Description:
Position will be responsible to manage all product quality functions in a food production/packaging facility.
Person will manage all quality documentation from incoming raw material through to finished goods for side dishes item, namely Macaroni & Cheese product.
This position will manage and maintain all quality testing protocols and documentation while supervising one quality administrator and three to four quality technicians (2 on each shift).
In this role candidate will need to maintain our SQF Excellent rating, prepare for and pass all audits and work to improve quality at all times.
Position requires the ability to train, monitor, and manage the quality department's interaction with production and maintenance departments to ensure quality standards (GMP's) and protocols are maintained and advanced.
Candidate will also be responsible to review specifications and to work with customer service to resolve customer issues.
Position will be involved in the planning, preparation and execution of all quality audits.
Position will report to VP of Operations.
Position is a salaried position estimated at 40 hours per week.

Quality Assurance Manager PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Oversee all quality procedures and documentation in plant to meet and maintain established SQF certification levels of excellent.
Manage and maintain Quality Control protocols and safety plans according to company standards.
Manage QA Administrator and QA Techs and to ensure QA coverage when plant is running.
To train personnel on quality regimes and to manage all quality protocols.
Qualifications:
Possess a 4 year degree or equivalent food manufacturing experience in QA/QC functions.
Has relevant experience in food production and a working knowledge of food production protocols/documentation practices including GMP's, HAACP, and SQF.
CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Intermediate to advanced computer skills to support documentation and data management.
Understanding of lab environment, testing protocols and documentation procedure.
Ability to develop and conduct employee training to support quality plans and objectives.
To be comfortable in an active production environment.
PERSONNEL SKILLS Works well in small team environment.

Person to be measured by their ability to manage quality process and maintain consistent and reliable production within specification.
